Happy New Year fellow Eagles!

The time has flown since I started in this vaunted position! A few months ago, my life took another turn. For the fifth year in a row, my job changed at the school district. I physically moved from Communications to Technology and Information Services, adding new assignments but still maintaining all those I had. I suppose with today’s economy being questionable, all companies are becoming leaner and meaner, so I am just trying to go with the flow but like many of you, I am busy!
That being said, our board and class reps haven’t been idle.

Kym and Steve Denmark (’68), our reunion hosts, report that the “Seattle Celebration” already has 75 alums committed to coming to the Emerald City for the July 4th weekend. We are thrilled to go back to the Pacific Northwest. Seattle has something for everyone and of course, a Starbucks on every corner will keep us all energized to see the sights! Our class reps are trying to reach out to more alumni so that we can get more association members and many more people joining us this summer at the reunion. If you want to get in touch with your class rep or any board member for more information on anything FHS related, click on the link below.
FAHSAA Board Members
Becoming a member of our association is easy and when you do, your annual dues of just $20.00 help to pay printing expenses, extra costs for our yearly reunion and various outreach projects. Each member receives an alumni directory and two newsletters each year. If you’re interested in our group and want to join, click on the link below.

Under the guidance of association Vice President Steve Dean (’67) and Webmaster Carl Fields (’68), we have been working hard to revamp our website. We have had yeoman’s help from Bruce Garner (’70) who has been scanning yearbooks which alumni will be able to link to. Jimmy Torres (’71) has been working on a military page for the website listing those who have served our country since high school.

In fact, we hope to be able to have our web page “found” a lot more by search engines so that more people can find us. We also hope to get more websites linked to ours for the same reason. Most of the work done isn’t visible yet but soon it will be. Thanks to those listed above who have worked so very hard the past few months. Bobbie and Dolphin

All was not work – I did have time to play as evidenced when I was kissed by a dolphin in the Virgin Islands this past December. What pure joy that was! Hope to see you in July for more fun!

I wish a happy and most of all, healthy, 2008 to you and your loved ones.
