Clara Schillace played for the Racine Belles in the All-American Girls Baseball League for four years. When the season ended in September 1946, she married Joe Donahoe and went with him to Germany, where Joe was to be the Principal of the new Frankfurt Community High School. In the Fall of 1947, she joined the faculty of the school as a Physical Education teacher. |
